Söyembikä Tower, also called the Khan's Mosque, is probably the most familiar landmark and architectural symbol of Kazan. Once the highest structure of that city's Kremlin, it used to be one of the so-called leaning towers. A legend postulates that the tower was built more than a century earlier by Ivan the Terrible's artisans in just a week's time.

An outstanding monument of Russian architecture of the XVI century. The oldest surviving monuments of historical and architectural ensemble of the Kremlin and the city. A cross with five domes of the Cathedral was originally recreated the layout and appearance of the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin, emphasizing the new status of the Kazan kingdom.

The Qolşärif Mosque (pronounced [kɔlʃæˈriːf], also spelled Qol Sharif, Qol Sherif and Kol Sharif) located in Kazan Kremlin, was reputed to be – at the time of its construction – one of the largest mosques in Russia, and in Europe outside of Istanbul. Originally, the mosque was built in the Kazan Kremlin in the 16th century.

The House of Zinaida Ushkova is a building in Kazan, in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, which was reconstructed in the beginning of the 20th century in an eclectic style. It is an impressive sight in the city center and an object of Russian heritage. In 1919 it became a central building of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan and is now open to visitors and tourists.

Host Ascension Cathedral in Novocherkassk, or "Second Sun Don" - is the main Cathedral for the Grand Don Region and all Cossacks. The third in Russia by capacity (5 thousand people), it is among the top ten highest Russian churches (the height of the dome is 74.7 m). Made in the old Byzantine Orthodox style.

Don Cossack Ataman Palace was built in Novocherkassk in 1863 as the official residence of the Don Atamans and a residence of the Russian monarchs. The palace is decorated with the utmost luxury. Now it is a museum describing the system and the role of Ataman's government in the Russian history.

The history of Michael the Archangel Church in Novocherkassk goes back for 200 years. With the capital of Don Cossacks moved to Novocherkassk the wooden church was moved as well in 1813. Later the new stone Archangel Michael Church was built in 1863.

Host Resurrection Cathedral - an Orthodox Cathedral 49 meters in height, the first stone cathedral on the Don. Up until 1805 was the main Cathedral of the Don Cossacks. The unique five-tier carved gilt iconostasis 19x23 meter contains 149 icons from the XVIII century, made by iconographer Egor Ivanov Greek.

Alferaki Palace is a museum in Taganrog, originally the home of rich merchant Nikolay Alferaki. It was built in 1848. The building is decorated with a portal featuring four Corinthian columns and stucco moulding in baroque style. Inside was created suite of rooms, and a spaceous hall with ceiling-painting.
